When someone first percieves the picture, the Chinese soldier captures the eye because of the contrasting colors between his dim tinted uniform and the radiant beaming fireworks. The photographer snapped the picture at this particular angle to have the soldier appear substantial possibly to present China's military significance. The soldier evidently is oblivious of his surroundings because he has a staid facial expression that has one spectating what he is thinking. He is feasibly pondering about his egotistic beliefs and how spirited he is of his people's achievements.
